the wetroom concept

Probably the most important aspect of a wetroom in a Residential Care Home environment is that - genuine level access shower rooms make life far easier for Care Staff and Residents. Whilst the majority of your existing residents may prefer baths, the modern preference of using a shower is certain to continue permeating through our aging population in the years to come. Meanwhile, a bath can still be incorporated into a wetroom design,if required.

A Raindance System means that shower trays are no longer needed, consequently the showering area has easy, unrestricted access. Depending upon the exact room size, we can advise how best to conform with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and Building Regulations Part M (Access to and use of buildings).

By choosing tile styles to suit your exact requirements you will avoid the otherwise clinical look achieved with so many “special needs” type of installations. Obviously we can, and frequently do, install products specifically to suit Care Home needs – such as the siting of radiators higher on the wall than normal to avoid residents falling against and possibly harming themselves through to Electrically operated rise and fall wash basins to suit the varying needs of individual residents. Grab rails and emergency pull cords would be included as standard.

The end results always reflect a bathroom that your residents and care staff would more likely wish to have installed in their own homes.

By their very nature, we offer only FULL INSTALLATION packages in this sector. A typical installation period for a two man Raindance team would be 3 – 4 weeks.
